"When ten anti-Israel billboards suddenly appeared in the greater Houston area, a local group, BridgeHouston, contacted StandWithUs to brainstorm with our Rapid Response Team about the most effective reply. The billboards, sponsored by the Houston Coalition for Peace and Justice in Palestine, depicted a sad-eyed Gazan child with the plea, “Pray for Gaza” written across it, and recommended a website that is filled with anti-Israel rhetoric, distorted facts, and biased information.
The StandWithUs design team collaborated with BridgeHouston’s founder to create counter billboards with a compelling message (photo above). Bridge Houston and StandWithUs raised the necessary funds from Jewish and non-Jewish supporters. Two of our billboards went up on July 6th and more are scheduled. "
