The Purim story relates an incident where King Achashverosh couldn't sleep one night and he asked his attendants to read from a book which related how Mordechai was instrumental in saving his life. The king then asks, what reward was bestowed upon him?
Similarly, Roi Klein, a true hero, saved the lives of his soldiers by throwing himself on top of a grenade. And what reward should be bestowed upon his widow and children? Apparently, his reward is to have his house destroyed.
