Israeli woman wins Nobel in chemistry

Two Americans and an Israeli shared the 2009 Nobel Prize for chemistry for showing how ribosomes function, work that has important implications for antibiotics, the prize committee said on Wednesday.
...Israel's Yonath is a professor and chief researcher in the field of biochemistry and structural biology at Rehovot's Weizmann Institute of Science and is the first Israeli woman to win the prestigious award.
