Peace hopes

Shimon Peres, President of Israel composes a poem about his hopes for peace.
O my Lord, it’s time to pray
When a new sun shines, let’s make hay
So save my land from desert stay
Call the oceans, salt to melt away
Call the oceans – salt to melt away (repeated)
And bless streams with love’s sway
Provide my foe and friend a bloodless day
Invite boys and girls for peace to pray,
O … Ye…
Then send a ray of hope
- for a new way
And bless streams with love’s sway
Provide my foe and friend a bloodless day
Invite boys and girls for peace to pray,
O, Ye
Then send a ray of hope – for a new way

Palestinian official questioning peace efforts.

A top Palestinian official is questioning the U.S. ability to forge Middle East peace after a new breakdown in attempts to revive negotiations.
Yasser Abed Rabbo said Wednesday that if the U.S. was unable to persuade Israel to temporarily freeze Jewish settlement in the West Bank, he wondered how it could broker a permanent peace deal.
